The quickest way to make a copier difficult is to connect three channels, two accounts and a collection of clever settings before the first trade works. Start with one source and one destination. You will know where an instruction came from, where it should go and what a successful result looks like.

This walkthrough follows TelegramSignal's AlgoWay workflow. The official Telegram setup manual contains the current interface and detailed setting definitions; keep it available while configuring your route. The first pass here is about making the whole connection understandable, not choosing a trading strategy.

In this guide
  1. Write the destination down first
  2. Create and connect the route
  3. Give the first test a written expected result
  4. Inspect the result, not just the notification
  5. Expand only after the route is understood

Write the destination down first

Record the platform, account and environment you intend to use. Demo and live accounts can have familiar names and very different consequences, so identify them explicitly. Also pick one instrument whose specification you can inspect and one small, valid test quantity.

Check that the Telegram account you will connect can already access the intended channel or group. Being subscribed through a different phone number does not give the chosen account that access. Keep a recent, complete example message to compare with the eventual order; use a source you are authorised to test and do not publish test instructions into someone else's channel.

Create and connect the route

In AlgoWay, open Telegram Copier and choose Create New Telegram Copier. Select the applicable access option and destination, then complete that platform's connection details. Open the route's gear icon, connect Telegram using your phone number, verification code and any required 2FA password, and use Load My Chats to select the source.

The gear opens copier rules; the pencil opens destination settings, including symbol mapping. Choose the required size and copying rules, enable the copier and save. A connected Telegram session alone does not complete the setup: the source, rules and destination must belong to the intended route.

Give the first test a written expected result

A useful test has an answer sheet before it runs. For an illustrative demo order, write the destination symbol, side, quantity, intended order type and protective levels. Also write whether several targets should create several orders; otherwise a correct multi-target result can be mistaken for duplication.

DestinationDemo account and platformAccount shown in history
InstrumentExact broker or exchange symbolInstrument on the order
QuantityValue with unitsFilled or pending quantity

Quantity deserves its own moment of attention. A value without units is a parcel without an address: somebody may still deliver it, but confidence is premature. Read position sizing before treating coins, lots, contracts or monetary amounts as interchangeable.

Inspect the result, not just the notification

Match the original message with the route's visible logs and the destination's order history. A notification that a message was received is not evidence that an order filled. A pending order may be correctly waiting, while an attempted market order may have been rejected; both can leave you without an open position for entirely different reasons.

For MT5 execution, the terminal and EA need to be operating on the relevant machine. For an API destination, verify that the connection has the right account and trading permissions. These are separate destination requirements, not things the Telegram login can repair.

Do not resend the same instruction simply because the screen looks quiet. Check for an existing order first, then follow the diagnostic guide from the last confirmed stage. Repeated clicking is an excellent way to turn one unclear event into several.

Expand only after the route is understood

Once one message behaves as expected, test the forms your actual provider uses: multiple targets, a missing size, a pending entry and a later management instruction. Keep the tests distinguishable and inspect the result of each. A plain BUY test proves that a plain BUY can travel; it does not prove every conversational update will be understood.

Then add the next source or destination with a descriptive route name. The multiple-channel guide explains the three common arrangements and why a single account receiving two channels needs special attention. The purpose of the first successful test is to give you a known working reference, not permission to stop observing.

Put the route to a demo test

Use the current setup instructions and verify the resulting orders in your destination account. Start with a configuration you can inspect before adding more sources.
