“Cloud copier” describes a location, but often leaves out the name of the component living there. Telegram reception and message interpretation can run remotely while execution still depends on an EA inside your MT5 terminal. Turning off that terminal stops its part of the route even though the dashboard remains available.

Draw the actual chain before buying a VPS or cancelling one. Identify where the source session runs, where messages are interpreted and which machine or service submits the order. Then ask the same question about later stop changes and cancellations, because entry is only the beginning of the job.

Three arrangements, three dependencies

An API destination can accept requests from a hosted service without a desktop trading terminal in the path. A terminal bridge needs the terminal, connector and operating environment to remain available. A remotely hosted terminal still exists; somebody else operates its computer and charges for the privilege.

TelegramSignal uses AlgoWay execution connections whose requirements vary by destination. Its MT5 route uses an EA and a running terminal, as described in the official MT5 overview. Do not transplant that requirement to a direct API connection, or remove it because the Telegram parser is hosted.

ArrangementMust remain availableDesktop shutdown consequence
Hosted parser and API executionHosted services, valid authorisation, destination APILocal desktop may be outside the route
Hosted parser and local EAServices plus local terminal and EAEA execution path becomes unavailable
Hosted parser and VPS EAServices plus remote terminal and EALocal shutdown may be irrelevant; VPS still matters

A VPS buys continuity, not correctness

A VPS can reduce dependence on a home computer's sleep settings, power supply and household connection. It does not repair a wrong symbol mapping, change a broker's session hours or guarantee that a signal has a sensible stop. Hosting an error around the clock is a fairly limited improvement.

Budget for the machine, required software, maintenance and recovery access. Check that the operating environment supports the connector and that terminal updates do not leave trading disabled. Keep the installation instructions and a record of the intended account so recovery does not become an improvised migration.

What survives a disconnect?

An accepted protective order may be held at the destination, while a management instruction calculated by a disconnected client cannot be sent. The exact distinction depends on the connector and order type. Verify the location of stop and target handling instead of assuming that every line drawn on a terminal chart is a server-side order.

On demo, observe a controlled interruption and subsequent reconnection. Check existing orders, missed source events and any catch-up behaviour before repeating the exercise with money at stake. Never assume that old Telegram posts will be replayed or that replay would be desirable at a changed market price.

Compare the complete bill and operating job

A low subscription plus a separately maintained machine can cost more time than a hosted arrangement. A hosted service can also have destination, account or channel restrictions that make its headline price irrelevant. The price comparison separates billing terms from operating requirements.

Choose the arrangement that you can inspect and recover, not simply the one with the shortest setup video. Keep credentials out of screenshots and give API connections only the required permissions. Availability, account security and trade interpretation are separate responsibilities, even when one interface collects them.

Put the route to a demo test

Use the current setup instructions and verify the resulting orders in your destination account. Start with a configuration you can inspect before adding more sources.
