“Buy between 2390 and 2394” is understandable to a person watching a chart. It is less complete as an order instruction, because an order needs a defined method of entering. Selecting the lower boundary, the upper boundary, the midpoint or the current market creates four different trades from the same sentence.

A copier therefore needs an explicit policy for ranges. Do not assume that another product's policy applies to yours, or that the parser's ability to recognise two numbers establishes how either will be used. Recognition and execution are separate decisions.

Price, instruction and current market

An entry price may describe where to place a pending order, where a provider entered earlier, or the reference used to calculate the rest of a setup. Words such as LIMIT, STOP and NOW help distinguish those meanings. Removing the words and retaining only the number can destroy the most useful part of the message.

For a buy, waiting below the current market and entering after a rise above it are different pending-order intentions. A market entry instead asks for execution at available prices. The destination's current quotes, order rules and supported types still matter, even when the message was perfectly clear at publication.

Assume, solely for this example, that the same quantity can be entered at either boundary. At 2390 the distance to the stop is 6 price units; at 2394 it is 10. The higher entry has a larger stop distance and a smaller distance to the target, so “somewhere in the zone” is not a minor detail when sizing and evaluating the trade.

Why a midpoint is not automatically neutral

The midpoint here is 2392. It may look like a diplomatic compromise, but the provider may have intended staged entries or a discretionary trigger within the zone. Choosing the midpoint is a new policy, not a mathematical discovery of the original intent.

Opening orders at both boundaries introduces another question: is the stated size divided between them or repeated? That resembles the multiple-target sizing problem, except the multiplication happens at entry. Calculate total exposure before deciding that several small tickets must be harmless.

Check the configured policy

TelegramSignal's current settings distinguish automatic entry handling, market-oriented handling and skipping entry ranges, with a separate market-entry restriction. Their interaction is documented in the official Telegram manual; check that definition before combining them. Do not infer a guaranteed range boundary from the name of a mode.

A simple demo test should include a single explicit entry, a range and a NOW instruction. Write down the expected result of each under your chosen settings, then compare the accepted order type. A test that checks only whether something opened will miss the difference this article is about.

When the price has already moved

A later market fill can change the distance to a fixed stop and target. It may also invalidate the reason the provider wanted the original entry. Faster copying reduces some opportunities for delay, but it does not reserve the quoted price or settle whether a late entry remains appropriate.

Keep this separate from measuring copier latency. A pending order waiting for its requested level is not necessarily slow software, and an immediate market fill is not necessarily faithful execution of a pending-entry idea. Compare the instruction and order before comparing the clocks.

For gold in particular, use the destination's actual price increment and contract specification rather than a provider's informal pip label. The XAUUSD guide works through that distinction. Once entry and units are explicit, quantity calculation becomes arithmetic instead of guesswork.

Put the route to a demo test

Use the current setup instructions and verify the resulting orders in your destination account. Start with a configuration you can inspect before adding more sources.
